(Tony) Lambert, Cedar City Chief of Police, has tossed his hat into the political ring by filing for the Republican nom-iantion nom-iantion for election as Iron County Sheriff in November. Mr. Lambert has been a member mem-ber of 1 he Cedar '"ity law enforcement en-forcement staff for the j'ast VI years, and has served as Ciief of Police for nine years. Throughout Through-out his 12 years of law enforcement enforce-ment work he has been an active ac-tive member of the Utah Peace Officers Association, and served as president of the State Association Associa-tion during 1037-5S. He is a giaduate of the FBI Academy in Washington, D. C, 1032, and recently was chosen by the Mission, Texas, Chamber of Commerce as the outstanding Chief of Police in Utah. He was granted an honorary membership in the Mission Chamber of Commerce. Com-merce. In addition to his efforts as a law enforcement officer, Tony has given instruction in traffic and criminal investigation in all parts of Utah. An active community worker he is actively associated with two local civic groups, Elks Lodge No. 1536 and the Cedar City Lions Club, of which he Is currently serving as vice president. presi-dent. His wife, lone Jackson Lambert, Lam-bert, Is a member of the board of directors of the Ladles Auxiliary Aux-iliary of the Utah Police Officers Association. |
