Show MR. AND MRS. WM. J. LOWDER I Lowders Observe 60th Wedding Anniversary Mr. and Mrs. William J. Low-der, Low-der, well-known residents of Parowan, Par-owan, observed their 60th wedding wed-ding anniversary New Year's Eve. 3ecau.se of the difficulty for all the children to gather at this time, no extra observance was held, but later in the year the family will endeavor to gather to commemorate the event, it is announced an-nounced by the children. They have been lifelong residents resi-dents of Parowan. Mr. Lowder will be 83 years old April 4, 1962 and Mrs. Lowder will be 80 years old on Jan. 23 we are informed. Mr. Lowder worked with livestock live-stock and served as a 'trapper for the U. S. Government for the greater portion of his life and is still active In hunting, fishing, etc. Mrs. Lowder has been active In local church and civic organl-atlons. organl-atlons. Including Relief Society and other LDS Church auxiliaries, as well as the Daughters of Utah Pioneers and the American Le-glon Le-glon Auxiliary. They are parents of nine children, chil-dren, eight of whom are still liv-, lng. They are as follows: Mrs. Ray (Roca) Mitchell, Parowan; Par-owan; Mrs. Marian (Varian) Hal terman. West Jordan, Utah; Mrs. Bernle (Laurel) Specht, Long Beach. Calif.; Mrs. Lucille Boles, Casper. Wyo., Mrs. Maxine Rob-Uon. Rob-Uon. and Grant Lowder, Fillmore, Fill-more, Utah; Art Lowder, Campbell, Camp-bell, Calif., and Elmo Lowder, Los Gatos, Calif. The ninth, a son. Eugene Lowder, lost his life In North Africa while serving with the armed forces during rWorld War IL They also has 23 grandchildren grand-children and 16 great-grandchildren. |
