Show Father, Two Sons Win Honors at Scout Court An outstanding feature of the December court of honor of the Brian Head District of Boy Scouts of American, held Sunday evening eve-ning in the Paragonah Ward chapel, cha-pel, was the presentation of Eagle Palm awards to a father and two sons, who had already attained the rank of Eagle scouts, the highest rank in scouting. The palms were awarded to George E. Banks, George E., Jr. and Karl Banks, who had each IHnlCiJ fiVC "it bauftfa OVri and above those needed for the Eagle rank. They are members of the Parowan Second Ward Troop No. 3-19. In addition to the above presentations pre-sentations a large number of advancements ad-vancements were made and mer-t mer-t badktJ to Boy Scout Troops Nos. 331. Parigonah; 349, Par-wan Par-wan Second, and 343, Parowan Third Wards. The latter troop von high honors for the month with the most advancements, merit badges and attendance of scouts, scouters, parents and M. I. A. officials. The Paragonah Troop, led by Kay Lamoreaux, -onducted the opening and closing clos-ing ceremonies of the honor court. W. Clair Rowley, district advancement ad-vancement chairman, states that there are a number of Star and Life Scouts In the district now and these people are working toward to-ward their Eagle rank. He says that in all probability some Ea-le Ea-le awards will he made at the lanuary Court of Honor to be held Sunday evening, Jan. 2S In the Parowan First-Second Ward 'hapel. |
