Show ENOCH AND MIDVALLEY NEWS Mrs. Cora Murie Leon Maxwell has moved to Bountiful to live with Mr. and Mrs. Art Maxwell. Leon will attend the University of Utah. Mr. and Mrs. Frank Jones, who are living in Vernal this year, where Frank teaches school, were home for the holidays. Mr. and Mrs. James Smith made a business trip to Salt Lake City last week. Mrs. Elda Heaton'a mother, Mrs. Chustiansen from Spring-dale, Spring-dale, is here with the Ilerton's for the holidays and to be with Elda through the time while Elda couldn't get around with her broken foot. Last Thursday all the families fami-lies in Iron County who have Foster Indian children in their homes were entertained at the church. A program which featured fea-tured the Indian children as a talent show was followed by a i'.rr "me Chosen People" and refreshments were served. Visitors at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Elvin Murie at different times during the last week, were Mr. and Mrs. Burton Rust from Orderville, Miss Susan Croft from Panguitch and Mr. and Mrs. John Croft, Susan's parents, came to take her home. Mr. and Mrs. Robert Munson and family from Las Vegas have been visiting with Mrs. Mun-son's Mun-son's parents and family, the Stanford Joneses. Stanford Jones and Hunter Gibson Gib-son have gone to Las Vegas to look for work. : Mr. and Mrs. Douglas Grlmshaw Grlm-shaw visited here with relatives and friends. The Myron Jones orchestra entertained en-tertained the ward members at a dance held in the recreation hall last Friday. Those present report re-port a very good time. New Year's Eve parties In the ward were held at the following places. The M-Men, Gleaners, Explorers Explor-ers and Laurels were at Bishop j and Mrs. Henry Grimshaws. They held a fireside beginning! at 10:30, and after midnight breakfast was served. At Mr. j and Mrs. Glen Garilefd's home the scouts were entertained with , a fireside followed by breakfast, at Mr. and Mrs. Raymond Chris-; tiansen's, the Beehive girls were! also entertained. A group of married people met ; at the home of Mr. and Mr.; Earl Murle for a New Year's breakfast. President Knight visited our. ward last Sunday. Mr. and Mrs. Charles (Bud) Smith and family vttlted with, Mr. Smith's parents, the Jmes Smiths, during the holidays. |
