Show Retail Credit Course Will Open in Cedar First session of a Retail Credit Course will open here Jan. 10 under un-der the instruction of Sterling S. Speake of the Educational Division Divi-sion of the National Retail Credit Association, St. Louis, Mo. Speake is a graduate of the University of Texas, School of Business Administration and has had several years actual experience exper-ience in the retail credit field. For six years he was on the staff of the University of Texas, Division Divi-sion of Extension, as a retail credit specialist. Since February, 1953, he has been conducting credit schools for the National Retail Credit Assn. throughout the United States and Canada. A large number of business and professional people are expected ex-pected to enroll in tnls short o 1 STERLING 8. SPEAKE course which Is considered to be very helpful in the methods of handling charge and Installment credit, according to M. J. Chris-tensen, Chris-tensen, mnnager of the Credit Bureau of Southern Utah, which is sponsoring the school. Local business men doing a consumer credit business, together togeth-er with bankers, and other credit and collection personnel, are invited in-vited to attend the first meeting, Jan. 10. All phases of retail credit and collection operations will be covered cov-ered during the course, which will be held Wednesday and Thursday, Jan. 10 and 11. from 7 to 10 p. m. at the College of Southern Utah.
