Show I LIVING IN ESCALANTE VALLEY- BT Mrs. Jack Mori ACTIVITIES The Escalante Valley Women's Club meeting was held Thursday, August 15, at Jhe home of Mrs Jenor Whitelaw. Co-hostesses for the evening were Mrs. Eva Bosshardt and Mrs. Doris Peder-sen. Peder-sen. The meeting was an outdoor affair on the Whitelaw lawn. After Af-ter business the ladies enjoyed a weenie roast. Some of the ladies enjoyed an evening of croquet while others visited. Door prize was won by Mrs. Whitelaw. Cub Scout Dens one and two enjoyed a swim and picnic on Aug. 14 at Veyo. Those attending attend-ing were Hal Tucker, Mrs. Phyllis Phyl-lis Wood, Mrs. Gloria Scott and Mrs. Frances Piper. The Cubs were Allen Hunt, Glen Nielsen. Rocky Tucker, Lee Scott, David Piper, Kenny Baze, Steven Ap-plegate, Ap-plegate, Terry Pedersen, Danny Wood, Tommy Anzalone and Den Chief Rex Wood. HERE AND THERE The Arnold Barlocker family, the Gordon and Jack Moyle families fam-ilies and Maud Moyle attended services at Parowan for Anna T. Adams on Wednesday, Aug. 14. A number of Escalante Valley residents attended services for little Allen Tullis at Enterprise on Saturday, Aug. 17. Mrs. Gloria Scott and children attended the centennial celebration celebra-tion at Gunlock Saturday, Aug. 17. . j Mr. and Mrs. J. Bevan Jones and children of San Gabriel, Calif,, visited at the Otto Fife home. Mrs. Jones, Deloris, is a daughter of the Fifes. Ronnie rones has been with his grand-other grand-other children. Nadine and Chris, remained with the Fifes while their parents continued their trip to Salt Lake City expecting to go through the LDS Temple while there. Mr. and Mrs. Eddie Penny of California visited at the Lane Austin home. Mrs. Penny is a niece of Mrs. Austin. Accompanying Accompany-ing them was Mrs. Penny's mother, moth-er, Mrs. Ortlze Thompson, a sister-in-law of Mrs. Austin. Mr. and Mrs. Ernest Thompson of Salt Lake City, brother and sister-in-law, and the Austins, enjoyed a trip to Glen Canyon, returning re-turning by way of Pipe Spring and Short Creek. Mrs. Phyllis Wood and children. Rex, Diane Danny and Kelley, the three daughters of Joe and Delia Delvecchlo, Judy, Patsy and Joan, also Mrs. Gloria Scott and sons, Tommy and Lee, attended the swimming lessons sponsored by the Red Cross at Veyo August 5th through 10th, |
