Show Cedar City Social Swing Mrs. Mary PMey and Mrs. Loa Johnson were hostesses Monday evening for a party held at the Johnson resident in honor of Mrs. Iris Corry. Refreshments were served and games were played. The guest list Included Mrs. Or-ma Or-ma Wood, Mrs. Gladys Isom, Mrs. Lillian Chatterley. Mrs. Lillls Larson, Mrs. Hilda Parry, Mrs. Elaine Southwtek, Mrs. Ethel Farnsworth, Mrs. Let a Cowley, Mrs. Sade Thorley, Mrs. June Thorley. Mrs. Afton Parry. Mrs. lone Bradshaw and Mrs. Ruth Urie. Dr. and Mrs. John L. Siddoway and sons Roger and John were guests at the home of Mrs. Sid-doway's Sid-doway's parents, Mr. and Mrs. Lehl Jones, the past week end. The family returned to Salt Lake on Sunday. Also at home is Miss Cynthia Jones, who spent six weeks In Colorado Springs, Colo, studying dance. Afton Parry and Ruth Seegmiller Seegmil-ler entertained the Drama Club at the Parry residence last week. Mrs. Phyllis Cooley presented the oroeram as she read the play "Inherit the Wind," by Lawrence and Lee. A short business meeting meet-ing was held during which officers offi-cers for next summer meetings were elected. Those chosen to direct di-rect the club affairs were LaRue Schmutz, president; Gwyn Clatk vice president, and Velio Olsen, secretary. Mrs. John Hopkins Mrs. Henry Jones and Mrs. Myron Higbee enjoyed the evening as guests. Mrs. Bernice McArthur spent last week in Salt Lake City with her mother, Mrs. Fred Warburton of Tooele, who had undergone surgery and was hospitalized. Glade McArthur made the trip with his mother and visited at the home of his aunt . The C B. Cooley family en-Joyed en-Joyed an outing together last Sunday when they gathered In Beaver Canyon for a dinner. Hosts to the family were Mr. and Mrs. Nalbert T. Lund and their children Gary and Kathy. Those attending from Cedar City were Mr. and Mrs. C. B. Cooley, Mr. and Mrs. Frank Cooley, Mr. and Mrs. Charles Cooley and Mr. and Mrs. Keith Cooley. The hostess, Mrs. Lund, Is the former Gwen Cooley. The family reunion climaxed cli-maxed the vacation trip of the C. B. Cooleys to San Francisco, via Los Angeles, where they en-Joyed en-Joyed taking In all of the sights. They returned via Salt Lake Cly where Mr. Cooley attended the eighth Economic. Development' Conference for the State of Utah.' Last week Mr. and Mrs. Conway Con-way Parry were hosts to Mrs. Parry's sister and husband, Mr. and Mrs. L. H. Knoles and their three children of Las Vegas, Nev. The week was spent enjoying the mountains and the resort at Navajo. The Parry's son, Douglas, returned to Cedar City w th the Knoles family after spending a I two week vacation at their home In Nevada. The M B W Club met at the home of Mrs. Iva Nelson for its weekly meeting. "Gifts of the Sea" by Anne Morrow Lindbergh was reviewed by Doris Cannon after which the group enjoyed refreshments and visiting. Mrs. Nelson's sister, Mrs. Becky Green was guest for th evening. Mr. and Mrs. Dean Harding, son-in-law and daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Preston Wood, visited In Cedar City over the week end. Their young son, Bobby, who has spent the summer visiting his grandparents, returned to Provo with them on Sunday. Mrs. Nelson Bulloch entertain-ed entertain-ed her Wednesday night brdge club last week. Guests for the evening were Lillian Evans, Bessie Bes-sie Dover and Virginia Randall. Prizes were won by Mrs. Dover, Mrs. Shirley Cowan and Mrs. Jean Lamoreaux. To wish Max Cowan a happy birthday was the occasion when Mr. and Mrs. Kent Dover entertained en-tertained last Sunday evening at their home. Enjoying the pot luck supper were Mr. and Mrs. Glade Stephenson, Mr. and Ts. Francis Betenson, Mr. and Mrs. Chester Cripps, Mr. and Mrs. Ren Taylor, the Keith Cripps, Mr. and Mrs. Dell Rich.
