Show KANARRAVILin NEWS I By Hannah Darts Open house was held Aug. 16 for "Aunt" Mina Piatt at hif home on her 83rd birthday and open house was held Aug. 18 for "Aunt" Mollie Williams at her home. She was 80 years old on Aug. 21. Many frlnds and rela-tlves rela-tlves called and wished these ladies many happy birthdays. Mr. and Mrs. Loren Robinson have enjoyed visits from some of their children, Mr. and Mrs. Robert Rob-ert Brooks and children of Los Angeles, Mr. and Mrs. Leon Robinson Rob-inson and family of Orem, and Leah Jean Boardman of Paragon-ah. Miss Barbara Williams motored motor-ed to Salt Lake City where she was Joined by by Miss Iona Roundy and they spent two weeks in Canada and other points of Interest Barbara returned home last week end. Hulda Webster returned to her home In Salt Lake City after spending two weeks here with relatives. Visiting here with their father Sam L. Pollock are Mr. and Mrs. Woodrow Pollock and children of Marina, Calif., and Mr. and Mrs. Blaine Pollock and family of Tooele. Cloyd Berry, of Salt Lake City visited here for a short time, call, ing on old friends. Mr. and Mrs. Wllford Berry and family of South Gate, Calif., visited here with Mrs. Berry's mother, Rosella Christensen. Visitors at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Rowen Williams were Eddie and Linda Sandstrom of Santa Ana, Calif.; Mr. and Mrs. Jack Patterson and daughter Mary-lyim Mary-lyim of San Anselmo, Calif., and Mr. and Mrs. Ed Struble of Cedar Ce-dar City. Mr. and Mrs. Garth Pollock and sons Greg and Mark, were visitors In Salt Lake City for a few days where Greg underwent surgery for the correction of eye trouble. Speakers at Sacrament Meeting Meet-ing Sunday were Vernee Frame i of the stake high council and Elder Terry. They were accompanied accom-panied by Elder Terry's mother, and Mr. and Mrs. William B. Adams of Cedar City. Raona Ence has returned home after spending two weeks in Dingle, Din-gle, Idaho, with her aunt. She was accompanied home by her grandfather, Horace Roundy. of Salt Lake City. Several of our ward members spent Monday at the Welfare building canning beans. Mr. and Mrs. Roscoe Williams and children Annette and John-ny John-ny of Anabella, Utah, and Mr. and Mrs. EJlls Williams and family of Henderson spent Sunday Sun-day here with their mother. "Aunt" Mollle Williams. Also at the Williams home were Mr. and Mrs. Marion Prince and family of New Harmony and Mr. and' Mrs. Talmadge McDonough and girls of Cedar City. Our boy scouts enjoyed an overnight trip to Duck Creek on Friday, returning home Saturday evening. They were accompanied by their scoutmasters Marvin and Jack Christensen and Bishop Harris Har-ris Gubler. Mr. and Mrs. LaCrand Reeves and children of California were visitors at th. home of Mr. and Mrs. Waldo Reeves. Stanley Williams was here here from California visiting with his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Noel Williams. |
