Show Clyde Pictures Road to Brighter Future The importance of water, trani-portation trani-portation and communication, power and research, to the economy econ-omy of Utah and particularly to the economy of southern Utah, was emphasized by Governor George D. Clyde when he' ap-Teare ap-Teare before members of the ci-vie ci-vie clubs of Cedar City Tuesday. The Governor's appearance here was sponsored by the Rotary Club, with all other civic groups invited to Join in the meeting to hear the governor's address. Wynne Thome, head of the Extension Ex-tension Service of Utah, had addressed ad-dressed the group before the gov- ernor's appearance, telling of the wide program of research being undertaken. The governor, sup-' porting the remarks of Thorne, also emphasized the importance of research but stated that research re-search without action was use less. The people of the southern part of the stata should utilize the findings of research in the development and wise use of reseources to assure the future -economy of the area, the governor gover-nor said.
