Show Well Known Caller Secured for Square Dance Festival -ii i r5i ' ' ! TERRY GOLDEN The Hey Cedars square dance club of Cedar City will stage its annual Square Dance Festival on Saturday, Aug. 31, Haze Hunter, club president, announces. Terry Golden, Ranchos de Taos, New Mexico, nationally famous square dance caller, win act as master of ceremonies for the occasion oc-casion and will do considerable calling throughout the evening of entertainment. The dance festival will be held at the tennis courts on the city park, beginning at 8:30 p. m., and everyone is Invited. A social hour will be held from 4 to 6 p. m. at the park, at which time Mr. Golden will be guest of honor, and will undoubtedly sing a number of folk songs for which he is also famous. The event will also feature a floor show and a free chuck wagon wa-gon lunch, Mr. Hunter states. I Out-of-town callers who will participate In the festival Include Bill Hunt, Snowflake, Ariz.; El-wood El-wood Spendlove, Bill Baker, Don Leavitt, Carl Gifford, St George; Roy Davis, Jack Draw, Miners-ville; Miners-ville; Burton Banks, Alga Brown, Edith Holmes, Kanab; Johnny Hlnes, Pleasant Grove, and Le-Vere Le-Vere Talt, Fredonla, Ariz. Cedar City callers who will participate include Chester Smith, Jack and Dorothy Thuet, Joe Bauer, Ray Stapley and Haze Hunter. Many square dancers from all parts of southern Utah are expected ex-pected to gather here for the occasion. |
