Show Funeral Services Held for Thomas Davenport j Final tribute was paid to Thomas Tho-mas Davenport 74, Parowan resident, resi-dent, in funeral services held last Thursday afternoon in the Third Ward chapel. Mr. Davenport died ! at the Iron County Hospital Monday Mon-day morning of last week. Bishop Howard M. Adams conducted con-ducted the services and spoke briefly. Other speakers were W. Clair Rowley and Karl O. Mitch-ell. Mitch-ell. The prayer at the home was by a brother-in-law, Myron Jones of Enoch, the invocation was by Arthur Joseph, the benediction was pronounced by Heber Gurr, and iiie fcrave in FiiOWan Cty cemetery was dedicated by Ancll J. Adams. Miss Vanda Mitchell was at the organ for prelude and post-lude post-lude music and musical numbers num-bers on the program were: a vocal trio, "1 11 Walk With God," by Ramona and Elna SUibbs and Shirley Evans, accompanied by Itha Mortensen; vocal solo, "Coin' Home," by Pres. Howard Knight with Barbara Jane Bayles accompanying, accom-panying, and the song, "Abide With Me," by a double mixed quartet consisting of W. Clair Rowley. Karl O. Mitchell, J. Harold Har-old Mitchell, Heber Gurr, Ramona Ramo-na Stubbs, Berta Burton, Alice Mitchell and Shirley Rowley with Mrs. Mortensen at the piano. |
