Show Parowan Herd Unit Special Permits Go On Sale Monday Sixteen hundred special permits per-mits for taking antlerless deer from Parowan Herd Unit 57 dur-inng dur-inng the regular deer hunt in October, will go on sale at the Iron County courthouse here on Monday morning, Aug. 26, according ac-cording to Berta Burton, local license li-cense agent, who will conduct the sale for the Utah State Fish and Game Commission. Sale will begin at 9 a. m. Mrs. Burton says. Of the 1G00 permits to be sold, 900 will be for what is designated desig-nated as the Paragonah-Cotton-wood area, and 700 will be for the Parowan Main Canyon division di-vision of the herd unit. These areas are greatly enlarged from what they have been in other years, taking in all the land lying ly-ing east and south of Parowan Valley and reaching over the mountains and down to Highway 89. Those who wish may buy two of these special deer permits this year, but they can't be purchased pur-chased on the same herd unit. That is, If a person wants to he can purchase a special permit to take an antlerless deer from Parowan Herd Unit 57, and then he may go to the Beaver or Dixie herd units and buy another permit per-mit And of course they must be used on the area for which they are issued. - The sale of the 1600 permits for the Parowar area will continue con-tinue until all the permits are sold or the hunt for which they are sold is over. |
