Show District Court Hears Venue Change Plea by Zane Hamblin A motion was placed before the District Court in Parowan last week requesting a change of venue for the trial of Zane Hamblin, Cedar City, who will face a voluntary manslaughter charge in connection with the death of Owen Barton several weeks ago. Barton died of a head injury apparently caused from striking his head on the pavement as he was knocked down from a blow by Hamblin. The request for a change of venue was made by Attorney Ellis El-lis J. Pickett, attorney for the defendant. The motion will be considered before Judge Will L. Hoyt on Thursday, April 14. Pending Pend-ing the outcome of the motion the case was set for trial In the District Court at Parowan for Wednesday, May 6. |
