Show News About Town By Mrs. Ralph Box Mr. and Mrs. Reed Gower were hosts Saturday evening at their home to honor Mr. and Mrs. Marion Mar-ion Leany, who are leaving Cedar City to make their home in St. George. In attendance at the farewell party were Mr. and Mrs. Charles Blackburn, Mr. and Mrs. Frances Leany, Mr. and Mrs. Cla-vin Cla-vin Johnson, Mr. and Mrs. Dick Dotson and Mr. and Mrs. Bud Chamberlain. Saturday evening a group of friends with covered-dish dinners dropped in on Mr. and Mrs. Joe Fakler at their new home for a house-warming and social. On hand for the occasion were Mrs. John Warren, Dr. and Mrs. M. F. Burgess, Mr. and Mrs. James Applegate, Mr. and Mrs. Max Webb, Mr. and Mrs. Harlie Ends-ley. Ends-ley. Mr. and Mrs. Fred LaFrentz, accompanied ac-companied by Mrs. E. Dittman, mother of Mrs. LaFrentz, left Saturday for a three-week trip through the east with a stopover stop-over at Detroit, where they will pick up a new car and return to Cedar City. Friday afternoon Mrs. Edward Fife of Summit set the scene at her home for a stork shower for Mrs. H. L. Humpherys. Mrs. Fife was assisted by Mrs. Carl Hazel. Ha-zel. Mrs. Edward Miller, Mrs. Robert Nelson and Mrs. Lester Gower. Twenty-five guests were received and served to a one O'clock O'-clock luncheon with tables decorated dec-orated in keeping with the theme. The afternoon was spent at playing table games. Mrs. R. L. Wahl entertained Tuesday evening at her home assisted as-sisted by Mrs. Clayton Lewis.
