Show Cordon Leigh Arrives In Korea; Serves With Second Division Word has been received in Cedar Ce-dar City that Cordon Leigh, son of Mr. and Mrs. Kumen Leigh, is now serving with the United States Second Infantry Division on the front lines in Korea. Pfc Leigh has been made second sec-ond gunner with a heavy mortar platoon with the infantry division divi-sion and is stationed within a very short distance of the fighting fight-ing front. He left the states on Feb. 3 with 5,000 troops on the General Black. They spent 17 days on the water enroute to Japan. He was prrcessed in Japan and left for Korea on Feb. 24, and was soon moved into a front line position. po-sition. He was sent to the mortor platoon as a replacement, and writes that a number of his companions com-panions expect to leave soon to return home on rotation. |
