Show "Scotch Lite' Campaign Gets Underway . ; ' : ' , , f' -J i?y- ' an i u - vSh ;V ) j o . . j 4 tr-: i Tony Lambert, Cedar City chief of police, is the first to place the "Scotch Lite" tape on the bumpers of his car. This safety campaign is being undertaken by the Junior Chamber of Commerce with Keith Averett, pictures above with Chief Lambert, in charge. The "Scotch Lite" is placed on the front and rear bumper, a silver strip on the front and a red strip on the back. At night it is visible at an extremely long distance away and shows vividly the extremities of the car. Working on the committee with Mr. Averett are Neil Twitch-ell, Twitch-ell, Gordon Thomspson and Kay Cutler. Interested citizens can obtain ob-tain this "Scotch Lite" by going to the Cedar Music company, where it will be placed on bumpers bump-ers at a cost of $1.00 per bumper, far below normal selling costs. The program has been undertaken under-taken by the Cedar City Jaycees in an effort to stimulate safety precautions within the city. The "Scotch Lite" tape has been used in other communities with great success and it is hoped by the committee and the Cedar City safety committee that the program pro-gram will get a good response here. |
