Show Club Notes By Mrs. Ralph Box Miss Marge Marsden was hostess host-ess to members of her club Wednesday Wed-nesday evening for dessert and bridge, with Mrs. Kent Dover as a guest. High scores were given Mrs. Carl Croft. Mrs. Arthur Hig-hee Hig-hee and Mrs. York Kelson. Ladies of the Cedar City Drama Dra-ma club were the guests of Mrs. Clive Davis, Thursday assisted by Mrs. D. C. Dix. Fourteen members enjoyed "Darkness at Noon' ably read by Mrs. Ken Luke. Twelve members of the Round Table club met at the home of Mrs. G. L. Janson, assisted by Mrs. Arthur Gardner. Mrs. Eras-tus Eras-tus Jones ably reviewed the book "The Nymph and the Lamp" by Thomas" 11. Kaddol. Guests of the club were Mrs. William Limb and Mrs. Sarah S. Stout of Salt Lake City. Mrs. Smith Stapley was hostess to ladies of her Tuesday night bridge club with Mrs. Wayne Jackson as guest. Bridge scores were given Louise McConnell, Mrs. Carl Hazel and Mrs. Arnold Arrowsmith. Twelve ladies of the Canasta club were the guests of Mrs. Lion Alger, Thursday evening at her home. Mrs. George Hunter was appointed ap-pointed president of the council of P. T. A. to fill the vacancy , of Mrs. Wayne Driggs who has moved away from Cedar City. Ladies of the reading club met Friday at the beautiful new home of Mrs. Frank Thorley. Mrs. Alfred Stuck! and Mrs. William Wil-liam Merryweather were hostesses host-esses to 16 members, with Mrs. J. Hatton, Mrs. Kenneth Sagers, Mrs. Lester Roberts and Mrs. Leslie Les-lie Hahne as guests of the club. "Together" (annals of an army wife) was ably read by Mrs. Leslie Les-lie Hahne. Ladies of the Monday club were the guests of Mrs. John Rowberry for dessert and bridge. Guests of the club were Mrs. Bill Dover, Mrs. Haze Hunter and Mrs! Cory Olson. Mrs. W. F. Kennedy was hostess host-ess Thursday afternoon to members mem-bers of her bridge club and guests. Lunch was served to Mrs. Roy Lundgren, Mrs. F. B. Parkinson, Parkin-son, Mrs. 11. G. Mace, Mrs. G. E. Mounts, Mrs. John Wickman, Mrs. Howard Mace and Mrs. Ralph Box. |
