Show Christine Houchen to Appear in Concert I Miss Christine Houchen, soprano so-prano who graduated from Wasatch Wa-satch Academy at Mt. Pleasant in May, will give a concert at the Community Presbyterian church in Cedar City on Thurs- j day, Aug. 23, at 8:15 p. m. j A daughter of Mr. and Mrs. i Claude Houchen of Cedar City, I Miss Houchen was a pupil of Grace Mae Sample, who will come to Cedar City the early part of next week in order that she and Miss Houchen may prepare pre-pare for the program. The public pub-lic is cordially invited to attend the concert. I The numbers to be included on the program are "Break O' Day", by Sanderson; "Chanson Espagnole", by Ravel; "My Hero" by Strauss; "Du bist die Ruh", by Schubert; "The Little Shepherd's Shep-herd's Song, by Watts; "What's in the Air Today", by Eden; "Quando Me'n Vo" from "La Bo-heme", Bo-heme", by Puccini; "Snow", by Cimara; "Blackbird's Song", by Cyril Scott; "Nicolette", by Ravel, Ra-vel, and "Welcome, Sweet Wind", by Cadman. Miss Houchen plans to enter the Branch Agricultural college in Cedar City this fall. |
