Show Old Timers Club Has Outing in Canyon Ernest Webster played host to the Old Timers club at his canyon can-yon home Saturday, Aug. 11. About 30 Cedar City oldsters enjoyed en-joyed a dinner of mutton cooked dutch oven .style, biscuits, soft drinks and fruit. The committee in charge included: VV. H. Leigh, chairman; Ernest Webster, R. W. Bulloch and Frank Anderson. The program consisted of a talk on geological aspects of coal formation by Professor Parley Dalley anil early day stories by Randall Lunt. Randall is dean of the oldsters by virtue of age and is one of the promoters of the organization or-ganization which has been enjoyed en-joyed by Cedar old timers for several years. A special feature of the pro-gram pro-gram was a number of cornet uuets by Richard Heywood and Orion Wood. The rest of the program pro-gram included lively competition in story telling by several experts ex-perts in telling "tall ones". The next Old Timers meeting will be held on Bishop Henry P. Dotson's lawn on Saturday, Sept. 1. The committee in charge will be Rass Anderson, John Isbell and Elias Leigh. |
