Show Miss Utah to Be Guest At Kane County ;Fair August 23 and 24 Miss Utah of 1951 will be a special guest at the Kane County Coun-ty Fair Aug. 23 and 21, it was announced by W. R. Heaton. fair manager. Site will help judge the local queen contest and will appear ap-pear at activities throughout the two-day affair. In the contest to determine Miss Kane County, Miss Colleen Hutchins, Miss Utah, and the other judges will judge the contestants con-testants for the same qualities considered in the Miss America Ameri-ca contest. Miss Kane County will have the opportunity to enter en-ter the Miss Utah contest at the State Fair in September. Judging for the local contest will be done the first day of the fair. The contestants will be sponsored spon-sored by the M.I.A. organizations of Kanab Stake. They include LeNore Russell, Orderville; Ille-na Ille-na Robinson, Glendale; Anna Jane Burch, Fredonia; Euzell Tietgen, Kanab North, and Alta Heaton and Beverly Meeks, Kanab Ka-nab South. Miss Kane County will preside over the activities at the fairground fair-ground in Orderville Aug. 21. Beginning Be-ginning at 9:30 a. m. with a flag raising ceremony, they will include in-clude a children's hobby and pet parade and contest, demonstrations, demonstra-tions, movies, sports, and exhibits in home arts, flowers, fine arts, livestock, fruits and crops. The concluding feature will be a style dress review and talent show at 8 p. m. followed by the annual Fair dance. |
