Show Legion Nine Ends League Competition The Cedar City Junior American Ameri-can Legion baseball team completed com-pleted its 1951 schedule Saturday night, when the group traveled to St. George, and suffered a 19 3 loss in a 9-lnning game. Both teams battled on fairly even terms until the fourth inning, in-ning, when the squad from Cedar Ce-dar City apparently blew up. From then in it was St. George's game all the way, with no threat from the Cedar City nine. On the mound for Cedar City were El Roy Nelson, Don E. Johnson John-son and Gail Miles with Roger Webb and Dick Madsen behind the plate. Webb had to be taken out of the game in the second inning when he was hit on the knee with the ball. |
