Show Jaycees Change Date Of "Miss h Cedar City" Contest Date of the Junior Chamber of Commerce "Miss Cedar City" contest con-test was moved from Sept. 3 to Sept. 4, following a meeting on Tuesday evening of the committee commit-tee in charge. Under present plans, the show will be held Tuesday, Sept. 4 at the Parks theatre beginning at 8 p. m. A number of contestants have already been entered, but the names will not be released until the list is complete. As was done last year, the Jaycees are asking clubs, organizations, and businesses to sponsor a contestant contest-ant in the show. Deadline to submit entries in the contest is still the same, Aug. 27. Entry blanks and further fur-ther information may be obtained ob-tained from committee chairmen. To be eligible for the contest, the girl must be between the ages ages of 18 and 28, and must have either graduated from high school or entering her senior year this fall. Final selection of "Miss Cedar City" will be made by a panel of judges who will be selected from out-of-town residents. Each contestant con-testant must present a three-minute three-minute talent act of her own choice the final night of the show. |
