Show Two False fljarms Turned in By Young Children Quick action on the part of one of the telephone operators at the local exchange resulted in the identification of two youths who turned in two false alarms last Thursday and an attempted false alarm call for an ambulance. Two false fire alarms were received re-ceived by the fire department at approximately 9:15 a. m. Thursday. Thurs-day. Both calls had apparently come in from the same party line. A short time later, another call came through from the same party line. However, the operator quickly recognized this call as a hoax, and the origination of the calls was determined. Investigation proved the calls had been made by two brothers, aged 10 and 7, who apparently liked to see the fire trucks go by. According to police, these are the same youngsters who the previous previ-ous day had to be taken from the railroad yards after having been warned once before not to be Jumping up on the freight cars. |
