In the top center, a hill built by red ants rises from the desert, and at top right a pair of desert lizards slither along the bare ground. Other photos here depict unusual rock formations in the basin country. Too, there is beautiful scenery to view from the heights, placid lakes in which to fish, gorgeous desert cactus flowers, and land formations as in the bottom center photo. The Uintah basin of this area abounds with opportunity for adventurists and ambitious pioneers, affording them a ready-mad- e chance to succeed in farming, stock raising, mining, manufacturing of certain products, and several professions are waiting for proper development.
