Appointments To New Air Academy Of all the human organs, the heart has entered the language and lore of hunmankind more widely than any other. It is true that a reporter may have a nose for news and composer an ear for music. Yet this is patlry stuff in comparison with the infinite variety of heart exthe heart, the merry pressions heart, the expectant heart, the joyous heart, the heart full of gratitude, the heart turned to stone, the good heart, the wicked heart, the loving heart and generous heart. With St. Valentines Day just around the corner, it might also be noted the occasions symbol is a geomertically shaped heart, which, may we add, is highly esteemed by sweethearts. All of which is fine. But romantic symbolism shouldnt be permitted to obscure the simple fact that, in reality, the heart is an indispeosible and a highly efficient pump, slightly larger than ones fist and chiefly made of muscle, which, each pushes from five to ten tons of blood through your circulatory system. It is the human heart that truly merits our concern and attention. Foil many generations this was viewed as an untouchable, unrepairable organ, with the words heart disease being accepted as a forewarning of immediate doom. But men have been doing something about that in the indomitable way of science. Remarkable progress has been made in the development of new drugs, new surgical procedures, new therapeutic techniques, and new methods of treatment, control and prevention. Yet, the long, uphill fight to conquer the heart diseases has only just begun. Supported by the Heart is now Fund, medical science the basic seeking to discover causes of high blood pressure, hardening of the arteries and rheumatic fever which, together, account for more than 90 per cent of all heart diseases. Other current and general business filled the one day session. Seiners are again required to pay a $10 license fee and post a $500 performance bond. Ten per cent of the gross sale value of all trash fish and minnows goes back to the state. Yellow perch were declared a nuisance fish. As such they may be taken in any water open to commercial fishing. This action was taken by the Commission for several reasons. Because of the prolific reproduction of perch it is believed that a reduction in numbers through seining will result in a much larger sized and better quality fish for the anglers creel. It was also noted that seiners have been hampered a great deal in the past through the requirement to sort the small perch in the catches from any waters.
