Show 1 Blanding, Grayson Investment Bond Sales Reach Wards Sponsor Reverence Drive New High Record have members Committee been chosen from the Blandmg and Grayson Wards to promote reverence in the community. They plan to start in the church and its meetings, but hope it will spread, to every important undertaking in the town. According to the committee, It is appaling the lack of reverence found1 among many of the boys and girls, and many of the parents. They havent any respect for school, church, or anything else. They rtalk and visit during their meetings, write and carve on the church benches, and tear the song books to pieces. Many parents give the song books to their small children to keep them quiet during the service. Every once in a while, you find a note written by an adult person to another adult person in the front or back of a song Ibook, about things that do not even pertain to church work. Also, the books find their way into many homes. Many times, they are gathered with other books and taken by mistake, but people must train themselves to avoid such things, if possible. After they are taken home, they can be returned. At picture shows, some people visit and talk so much their neighbors can scarcely hear what is going on. Children holler and run around with no regard for the feelings of others. If parents would go places with their children, and sit with them, this condition could soon be improvelsewhere. ed in church and Some parents say they cant go with their children to things because they have to stay with the younger children. This could be solved by one parent staying at home with the little childen, and the other going with the older ones. There are many problems that the committee must work out, and to be successful, they must have the cooperation of everyone. Parents must be converted to help put it over to their children. Children may have to help convert parents. It will take the cooperation of every teacher, parent, and child, to make a success of this campaign.
