Show WX has new officers first place with her pantomime and Diedre Mavin won third place in mono-acting. And, these talented ladies are only sophomores. Also qualifying for finals were Alan Kendall, Melissa Ericksen and Leeann Stone. In addition, the fantastic fan-tastic set for the one-act play was named best in state. They are coming in one week. The Wildcat of the Week is Jared Karl son. Jared 's favorite thing about WX is the awesome color of the building. Jared' s favorite class is psychology and in his spare time, he likes to sleep and work at Pedersen's. Last week's Wildcat of the Week was Jason Berven. Jason's favorite thing about WX is the people, especially espe-cially our vice principal, Dr. Larry Smith. Jason loves to do everything except stay home, and enjoys water skiing and snow skiing. His favorite class is marketing with Mrs. Caldwell. Congratulations to both of these great guys! Now, go sit down in front of the TV with a big plate of cookies, turn on cartoons, and have a great week! By KM WOODBURY Welcome to another week of Wonderful Wildcat life at our Wacky World of Woods Cross High. (That alliteration, for you English fans!) Congratulations to the appointed studentbody officers for 1991-92! They are: Historian, Amy Belliston; publicity manager, Steve Tuttle; photographer, Luke Chamberlain (Cat iSSt) and artist, Don Kilpatrick. All of the portfolios were absolutely incredible incredi-ble and those chosen had just the right blend of modem cowboy, outrageous ultra-modernism and well, simple talent. Congratulations also to the newly elected class officers for next year. The seniors will be led by Danny Morris, president; Spence Winegar, vice president; and Nicole Robinson, Robin-son, secretary. The junior class officers offi-cers are Justin Kunz, president; Annette An-nette Hafen, vice president and Cindy Fisher, secretary. Thanks to all the candidates for conducting such 'classy" campaigns. The DECA Club recently took three students to the national competition com-petition in Denver, Colo. The advisor, ad-visor, Kris Caldwell, took Kym Caldwell, Tiffani Bodily and Kevin Gillespie and they represented WX with the utmost of finesse, fashion and suave. DECA's fashion show also recently took first place in the state competition. Way to be fashionable, fash-ionable, DECA!! Our hallowed halls will seem very hollow later this week because about 200 of our students will be on the choirband trip to the Los Angeles area. (Not to make you all jealous or anything, but yes, we are seeing ' 'Phantom of the Opera. ' ') Congratulations to our incredible drama department, who recently took second place in the state 3A competition. Mara Robinson earned |
