Show Manns celebrate 50th Virginia A. Mann was bom in Pleasant Green July 3, 1914 to Alexander M. and Louise Pennington Penn-ington Adamson. She graduated from Granite High School in 1932. She loves music and has played the piano since early childhood. She has been active in the LDS Church, serving as a ward and stake organist for over 60 years, Primary president, Sunday School teacher, and a visiting teacher. She accompanied accom-panied many Singing Mothers groups. She has played for Norma Anderson's Dance Studio for the past 40 years, still continuing to do so. For many years Bill and Virginia have enjoyed camping with friends and family. They have five children: Sharon and Dale Steed, Riverdale; Patricia Rae (deceased); Joan and Dave Simons, Bountiful; Bill Mann, Salt Lake City,; and Julie Mann, Bountiful. Boun-tiful. They have 12 grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren. The attendance of friends and family would be appreciated. No gifts, please. MR. AND MRS. BILL MANN The children of Bill and Virginia Mann are pleased to announce the commemoration of the 50th anniversary an-niversary of their parents' wedding on May 4, from 6:30-8:30 p.m. at Norma Anderson's Dance Studio, 131 N. 500 W., Bountiful. The couple were were married June 13, 1941 in Bountiful. The marriage was later solemnized in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. William C. Mann was born in Bountiful, Sept. 8, 1913 to Orvis and Myrtle Holbrook Mann. He attended at-tended Davis High School. He served two years in the Navy in Hawaii during World War II. He loves horses and rode for several years with the Twin Star Riding Club, serving as president twice. He retired from the Utah State Road Commission in 1977, after 27 years of service. He subsequently worked for airport security at the Salt Lake International Airport for ten years. For decades he worked as a blacksmith, shoeing horses in the Davis County area. |
