Show May Fellowship Day planned as ecumenical fete ; - " y ( By JAMS STUART Clipper Correspondent Church Women United will be celebrating May Fellowship Day on May 3. Davis County residents are invited in-vited to attend the ecumenical celebration that brings Protestant, Roman Catholic, Orthodox and other women of faith together into one community of prayer, advocacy and service. This year's May Fellowship Day experience, entitled 'Journey Toward Jubilee, will be held at 4290 W. 5415 South in Keams, and will be hosted by Trinity United Methodist Church. The experience 4 'recalls Church Women United s heritage and heralds its accomplishments of 50 years," according to spokesperson Mary-Dawn Coleman. Registration for the event begins at 9:30 a.m., at a cost of $3.50. Worship service will be followed by lunch. Child care will be provided. provid-ed. Michael Payne recently won third place in the Cub Scout Coloring Contest for all the Salt Lake Area Council. As a prize for winning he received a Cub Scout flashlight. He is 8 years old and is in the Wolf Den of Pack 3107 in Bountiful. Boun-tiful. He enjoys Cub Scouts, soccer and computers. Payne attends school at Meadowbrook. |
