Show LDS conference slated for April 4-6 SALT LAKE CITY The First Presidency of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints has announced an-nounced that the 162nd annual General Conference of the church is scheduled for Saturday and Sunday, April 4 and 5. All sessions of the conference will be in the historic Tabernacle on Temple Square. General sessions will be conducted at 10 a.m. and 2 p.m. both days and the annual an-nual General Priesthood meeting is scheduled for 6 p.m. Saturday. Saturday's meeting times are Mountain Standard Time and the Sunday sessions will be Mountain Moun-tain Daylight Time. Speakers at the conference will include members of the First Presidency and Council of Twelve Apostles, plus other assigned General Authorities of the Church. The conference sessions will feature instructional and inspirational addresses by church leaders and music by the Mormon Tabernacle Choir, the Mormon Youth Chorus, a Relief Society women's chorus from Brigham City, Utah Region of the Church, and a young men's choir from the Orem, Utah Region. The conference will be carried live on radio and television tele-vision in the Intermountain Region and will also be televised live via satellite to locations throughout North America and the Caribbean. The Church has more than 3,000 satellite downlinks in these areas. |
