Show Council members given opportunity to serve as liaisons By TOM HARALDSEN Cli pper Correspondent CENTER VILLE Members of the Centerville City Council traditionally tra-ditionally divide responsibilities in order to act as liaisons between the city and its residents. These assignments for 1992 were approved approv-ed by council last week. Councilman Kent Lindsey: Garbage collection, county bum plant, Centerville Deuel Creek Irrigation Ir-rigation Company representative, police (including crime prevention, I investigation, police reserves), , animal control, school crossing programs, golf course feasibility study and RDA member. Councilman Mike Barton: Finance (including personnel, business busi-ness licenses, accounting, internal auditing), justice court, annual audit, attorney services, government govern-ment buildings, including new city hall complex, emergency preparednessjoint assignment with Councilman Steve Mangel and RDA vice chairman. Councilman Kent Brown: Planning Plan-ning and Zoning, Board of Adjustment, Adjust-ment, building inspection, ordinance or-dinance enforcement and RDA member. Council woman Francine Giani: Parks and Recreation committee, Centerville Historical Society, Christmas lighting ceremony, public pub-lic relations, cemetery, youth city council, RDA member, July 4th festivities. fes-tivities. Councilman Steve Mangel: Public Works (including streets, storm drainage, culinary water, etc.), engineering, street lighting, emergency preparednessjoint assignment with Councilman Mike Barton, RDA member. Mayor Michael Kjan South Davis Fire District board member, Davis County Council of Government Govern-ment (COG), RDA chairman. |
