Show City schedules celebration dates, chairmen Springville will observe the second annual Art City Days, June 20, 21 and 22, it was announced an-nounced this week, by committee commit-tee chairmen. Dates were scheduled sched-uled at a recent celebration organization or-ganization meeting. Mays Anderson will again serve as parade chairman; Dr. Richard K. Miner, the "Art of Living," awards banquet; Art Tucker, advertising; Merle Schreiner, Federated Womens Clubs; Amasa Rowland, Senior Sen-ior Citizens; William Pratt, churches. Kay Johnson is the treasurer. The exhibition of antique cars, which proved a popular attraction last year, will again be featured and the Antique Car Clubs will hold their western wes-tern region convention in Springville during the time. It is expected that some 300 cars will be seen during the event. Many other novel and new attractions are planned to add to the celebration this year, including a family floats category cate-gory in the parade, Mr. Anderson And-erson said. |
