Show One Sunday session )khb conference There will be only one general gen-eral session of Kolob Stake Quarterly Conference on Sunday, Sun-day, January 21, in Kolob Stake House, announces Stake President Ernest A. Strong Jr., but arrangements have been made for sound presentation of the session in two other buildings, build-ings, the Mapleton Church and the First-Twelfth Ward Church, in order that there will be ample room for all who wish to attend. The session begins at 10 a.m. It is also announced that Junior Sunday Schools will be held in each of the three buildings concurrently with the conference. Another change this year in connection with the conference will be that regular sacrament meetings will be held in each of the eight wards of the stake on Sunday evening. Following is an outline of the program to be presented at the Sunday session of the conference confer-ence to which the general public pub-lic is invited. Choir and congregational singing will be directed by Mabel Ma-bel Paulson with Zara Tonks, accompanist; invocation, Patriarch Pa-triarch Oscar W. Whiting; Twelfth .Ward Choir will sing, "Love at Home," directed by Clara Johnson with Charles Cummins accompanist. Business Busi-ness at the meeting will include in-clude sustaining of officers by President W. H. Greenhalgh. The first speaker will be President E. A. Strong Jr., followed fol-lowed by Sharmayne Taylor, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Clip Taylor, "How and Why do I Pray?"; Ralph Snelson, "How and why does my family have Prayer?" Duet, "Teach me to Pray," David and Lynn Thomas, Thom-as, sons of Mr. and Mrs. Morgan Mor-gan Thomas, accompanied by Bell Thomas. Speakers, "Why go to church?" Vonda Bird, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Dean Bird; "Why go to church?" Eldon Reese of the high council. coun-cil. Speaker, President W. H. Greenhalgh; "How should I treat the priesthood?" Jimmy Hopkinson, son of Mr. and and Mrs. Gary Hopkinson; "My challenge to woman hood," Mary Hjorth. Congregational singing, directed by Mabel Paulson, will be followed by speakers, Shirley Calder, "How does a mother set the example and make religion appealing to her children?"; President William Wil-liam J. Pratt; Mrs. Armel Beardall, "Why I went to the temple?"; Ralph McClain, "Why I went to the temple," and Paul K. Edmunds, high councilor, "What the temple endowment and marriage sealing seal-ing means." Keith Lewis, son of Mr. and Mrs. Charles Lewis, will give a poem, "Just for Today," after which President E. A. Strong Jr. will speak. The Twelfth Ward Choir will sing "Jesus My Savior True," dh-ected by Clara C. Johnson, and the benediction will be given by Ernest M. Boyer. Saturday meeting Saturday evening leadership meeting with the theme "How to Delegate Wisely," will be held at 7 p.m. Those to be in attendance are: stake presidency, presi-dency, high council, and stake clerks, bishropics and ward clerks, presidencies and group leaders of all Melchizedek Priesthood Quorums, the stake auxiliary superintendencies, presidencies and board members, mem-bers, ward auxiliary superintendencies superin-tendencies and presidencies, ward Aaronic Prieshood general gener-al secretaries, youth and adult, and all members of ward councils. |
