DeVon P. and Dorothy Green celebrated their fiftieth wedding anniversary Nov. 21 at the home of their daughter, Mrs. J. D. Gunnels. The couple was married Nov. 21, 1931, in Parowan. They were both born and raised in Cedar City and lived there until 1953 when they left the area to pursue a career in the construction business. They have lived in the Farmington area since 19fM). Mr. Green was employed with Utah International and retired from the company in 1978. Mr. Green is a life member of B.P.O.E. Lodge number 1556. He joined the lodge in 1945 Mrs. Green has been a member of B.P.O. Does since 1964. She served as president of the Does in Farmington in 1969, and as president of the New Mexico North District in 1974. Both Mr. and Mrs. Green are members of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. The couple are the parents of three daughters: Barbara Gunnels, Farmington; Shirley Woods, Globe, Ariz., and Elayne Fife, Farmington. They have nine grandchildren and eleven greatgrandchildren. |
