Show IC seeks return of suspects J CEDAR CITY - The Iron County Sheriff's Office has asked lor a governor's warrant so that two suspects in an armed robbery can be returned from Las Vegas, Nov.. to lace charges. According to Sheriff Ira Schoppmann, Randy Lee Anderson from Ft. Collins, Colo., was allegedly held up at gun point Nov. 23 at approximately (i a.m., while he was asleep in his car at the Kanarraville rest area. According to the victim, he was approached by a man holding a two-inch revolver who demanded all of his money. Anderson allegedly gave the robber his wallet i which contained a $50 fill. The suspect then jumped intoa blue Pontiac Trans-Am Trans-Am driven by the second suspect and fled south on Interstate 15. The victim followed the suspects in his own vehicle, but was unable to keep up with them. Anderson then pulled into St. Ccorge and reported the incident to the St. ( i e o r g e Police ' Department, who put out local and state broadcasts lor the suspects. A short time later, a vehicle and suspects lilting the description were stopped by the Nevada Highway Patrol near (ilendale, Nev. The suspects were arrested and taken to Las Vegas where they were held on charges for Utah. Iron County Sheriff's Detective Cordon Adams traveled to Las Vegas and interviewed the suspects who were identified as Edward Lee Andrews, 21, and Lewis James Rulfin, 20, both Irom Michigan. According to Adams, the pair had both agreed to voluntarily return to Utah to lace charges, but when they were taken in Iron! of the district judge the lollowing clay they refused to sign the waivers of extradition.
