Show Equipment donated CEDAR CITY - The Valley View Medical Center recently received a new piece of equipment that is termed as "lifesaving" by many of those involved. The equipment is an incubator, the second of its kind at the hospital. It was purchased with money donated to the Valley View Health Care Foundation, largely by Coleman Company. According to officials of the Foundation, the incubator is used to re-warm re-warm newborn babies and especially to help premature babies maintain body heat, helping them to learn to function on their own. When a baby is born premature, it does not have the capacity to maintain its own body heat, which is an important factor in the well-being and perhaps the survival of the baby. |
