Show KGSU-FM airs music program CEDAR CITY - Three masterworks of the concert repertory will be heard Nov. 4 over KGSU-FM KGSU-FM during the regularly scheduled Chicago Symphony Orchestra broadcast. Beginning at 5 p.m., the program will be directed by guest conductor Daniel Barenboim. Joining him in this all-star all-star program will be the Rumanian-born piano virtuoso Radu Lupu and the Chicago Symphony Chorus. Both will perform in the opening selection, Beethoven's Choral Fantasy for Piano, Chorus and Orchestra, Opera 80. Lupu will, additionally, be the soloist for the Concerto No. 4 in G. by Beethoven, and the Chorus will close the program with a performance of Bruckner's mighty "Te Deum" featuring vocal soloists soprano Jessye Norman, mezzo-soprano Yvonne Minton, tenor David Rendall and bass Sam Ramey. KGSU-FN is the Southern Utah State College radio station. It is found on 90.1 megahertz on the radio dial. ' |
