Show Kanarraville to elect three Kanarraville voters this year will choose a mayor and two four-year councilmen. All races are nonpartisan. non-partisan. Running for mayor are Galen Allred and Ken Clark. Seeking the Council positions are Bud Williams, Ronald Williams, Michael Williams and Dick Agee. The questions asked the candidates were as follows: How do you feel about the current controversy concerning who should provide power to the area? How do you feel about the proposal to build a new law enforcement building in Cedar City and what would you do differently, if anything? What do you see as the future of Kanarraville and what should be done to pursue that future? Unfortunately, only Ronald Williams responded to the Record questionnaire. The polling place for Kanarraville is the Geri Morrell home residence. Ronald Williams Power Utah Power & Light is better equipped to handle the power needs for our town than the Federation would be, at this time. Law enforcement building It is vitally needed. Future The future of our town, I think, should remain rural. The people moving into our town are doing so because it is small and this is what they are looking for. Keep the growth controlled to preserve our unique quality of life. Once this uniqueness is "sold" it can never again be replaced. |
