Show Pesticide meeting scheduled Agent, Dr. Reed Roberts and Dr. Jay Karren, entomologists from Utah State University will conduct the workshop. He suggested that anyone who has an occasion to buy or use restricted-use chemicals should try to attend the school. The information given will aid users in the safe and effective use of pesticides. Esplin also noted that the law prohibits the purchase or use of restricted-use pesticides without a license. - and use restricted-use insecticides, herbicides, fungicides and rodent bait for private use. They will also be issued a "Private Applicators License." Anyone wishing to obtain a "Commercial" or "Non-Commercial" license is welcome to attend the workshop; however, they must also pass a written test before they can be licensed. According to Lynn Esplin, Iron County CEDAR CITY Farmers, ranchers, homeowners and others wishing to be certified to buy and use restricted pesticides are invited to a three hour workshop for this purpose. The workshop, sponsored by Utah State University Extension, will begin Wednesday at 2 p.m. in the Cedar City Public Library, room 5.
