Show Tickets on sale for Cedar City concert performances CEDAR CITY -Season tickets for the 1981-82 Cedar City concert series are now on sale. Kathy Mclntyre, chairwoman of the Cedar City Music Arts Committee, Com-mittee, recently announced an-nounced the schedule of six events for the upcoming up-coming season. The Utah Symphony Orchestra will give the opening performance on Nov. 10 in the Cedar High School auditorium. On Nov. 16 the Tears of Joy Masque Company will perform. Lou Rooner's Small Big Band will give a concert on Feb. 25. The dance offering of-fering this year will be the American Festival Ballet on March 24. A concert pianist, Frank Wiens will appear on April 2; the season, concludes with opera a la carte performing Pirates of Pennance on April 5. For further information in-formation interested patrons may call 586-4752 or 586-6721 after 5 p.m. At 7 p.m. Nov. 10, prior to the Symphony concert, a program orientation, sponsored by the Southern Utah Music Teachers' Association, will be presented. The lecturer will be Craig Fineshriber, first percussionist per-cussionist in the orchestra. or-chestra. The season pass costs $10 and provides ad mission to all six concerts. con-certs. There is a 50 cent discount for senior citizens and concert patrons under 30 years of age. Any adult ticket holders may bring the children of the family free of charge. Tickets are available from any Music Arts Committee member. They may also be purchased pur-chased a Liebhardt Music or Hunter-Cowan Hardware. |
