This service will furnish valuable help and research to business owners that they could not otherwise afford, while at the same time provide a practical training ground for students where academic theory can be put into daily use. Business owners interested in receiving an outside look at their business should contact the Development Center between l and 5 p.m. any afternoon for an appointment. Also, where professional services are to practical management concerns will be taught and analyzed. SUSC is evaluating its present business curriculum, with the goal of creating a better program which will make graduates the best prepared in the state to operate their own small business. The center (SBDC) will be located in the new business building on SUSC campus, room 303. The Small Business Development Center will be open during the afternoon af-ternoon hours, and those wishing more information in-formation on any of the programs should call 586-5405 586-5405 and arrange an appointment. There is no charge for any of the center's services. According to Harold Hiskey, dean of the School of Business and Technology, the newly created center will make available the resources of the college to existing businesses and better prepare those students who wish to own and manage their own concern con-cern upon graduation. Victor Isbell, professor of marketing, has been appointed as director of the center which will provide several services ser-vices free-of -charge to interested parties.
