Show Women's League tea set A membership tea and orientation program will be conducted by the Cedar City League of Women Voters Tuesday from 4 to 6 p.m. at the home of Pam Coffeeen, 656 S. 300 East. This orientation session is informal, and League members are encouraged to bring men and women interested in membership. mem-bership. A slideshow about how the League functions will be shown. Interested citizens can come anytime during the two hours to meet League members and to learn about League programs, reported June Adams, local president. The League fosters education in citizenship and supports improved legislation. Although League members are encouraged to be active individually in a political party of their choice, the program and activities of the League itself are nonpartisan. At the local, state and national level, League members study issues . facing the citizenry and arrive at a concensus or a position which can be supported through legislation or other action. |
