Show Health clinics planned The Southwest Utah District Health Department Depart-ment recently announced its schedule of special health clinics for the month of October. They will begin with a cancer screening clinic at the Rock Church, 75 E. Center Street in Cedar City, from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Appointments can be made by calling 586-2437. District authorities recommend that every woman age 20 and older receive a yearly screening for cancer. Immunization and blood pressure clinics will be conducted at the Cedar City health center, 1552 W. 200 North, on Oct 7, 14, 21 and 28 from 2 to 4 p.m. A similar clinic will be at the Beryl Community Center in Beryl on Oct. 13 from 10:30 a.m. to 12 noon. A child health conference, con-ference, including physicals, will be at the center on Oct. 20. Appointments Ap-pointments can be made by calling 586-2437. An ortho clinic will be conducted at the center on Oct. 29. More information in-formation can be obtained ob-tained by caling 586-2437. According to department depart-ment officials, there is now a small charge for each shot and blood pressure taken. Also flu vaccine is now available for a small charge, It is recommended that everyone 65 years old or older receive the vaccine. Also, those with chronic illness, whatever age, should have the immunization. |
