Show Kanarraville By CARMA WILLIAMS Record Correspondent Yvonne McDonough and daughter, Sandra, spent the afternoon visiting with their aunt, Gwen Davis. The MIA held their opening social Wednesday Wed-nesday at the church. A spaghetti, salad and garlic bread supper was served to all the young people. Following the supper the evening was spent playing games. The MIA leaders for the young men are Dennis Blair, Henry Blake and Leon Reeves. For the young ladies Lylis Blair, Rosalie Williams and Pam Christensen are the leaders. Tony Gubler is in Boston Heights, Ohio, for three weeks attending an engineer's school for Mountain Bell. Joan and Ronald Williams spent three days in Spanish Fork, Utah, attending the Utah Ram Sale. ' Evan Reeves from Orem, Utah, spent Tuesday evening and Wednesday here with his parents, Lynn and Ella Reeves and brother, Leon. Keith and Susan Gubler from Bountiful, Utah, spent the weekend with their mother . and brothers, Judy, Bryce and Ricky Gubler. Alenna and Aloma Berry left Friday for Salt Lake City with her granddaughter, Balinda Rowley, to attend funeral services for Dale Newberger, son of Fred and the late Eloda Berry Newberger. Chick Hawkins from Las Vegas, spent the afternoon with his mother, Lou Ella Hawkins. Ward conference was held Sunday with the Stake President present. Spencer Truman, first counselor in the bishopric, was released and Dale Cornelius was made first counselor. Clayton Reeves was put in as second counselor. Marilynn Baumberger and girls who have been living in Las Vegas came for the weekend. The Baumberger's have sold their home to Mr. Deelman from Las Vegas. Marilynn and Jim were busy moving. Richard Woodbury from Salt Lake City spent the weekend here with his mother, Arvilla Woodbury. Jeffrey and Ellen Williams and daughter, Liberty, from Ivins, Utah, came to spend a week here with their parents, Chester and Carma Williams and Bert and Roberta Eastman. Charlie and Beverly Eastman from Lacy, Wash., spent Sunday through Monday here with their brother and sister-in-law, Elsie Boltman from Memphis, Bert and Roberta Eastman entertained a group of people that worked at Deseret Industries In-dustries where Bert was manager, to a barbeque cook-out at their home Saturday. |
