Show Up-Date m Quality Parenting Television series slated The Utah State University Cooperative Extension Service recently announced the schedule for the upcoming up-coming Up-Date in Quality Parenting television series. The series, which discusses the role of public education in preparing persons for marriage and parenthood, paren-thood, will run on channel 7 every Tuesday from 3 to 3:30 p.m., Oct. 13 to Dec. 15. "As the public continues con-tinues to become more concerned about the state of marriage and the family, educators would do wisely to familiarize themselves with current information dealing with this subject," said officials of-ficials of the Extension Service. College credit can be obtained in some cases. The family has long been termed the primary socializing agent for children, and parents have a myriad of responsibilities in preparing their children to be successful in life with marriage and parenthood being of utmost importance. While families continue to be strong, society is placing many demands on marriage partners and parents, said the Extension Ex-tension Service. "This year's Up-Date in Quality Parenting series will provide helpful information to parents and grandparents regarding what they as well as public education, community programs and religious organizations can do to help people prepare for marriage and parenthood," paren-thood," it continued. The first program will be "Preparation for Marriage and Parenthood: Paren-thood: Who Is Responsible?" Respon-sible?" on Oct. 13.
