Show Beverly Carlson, dies; She was an active member of the Cedar City sixth ward where she was organist for the Sunday School, Relief Society and Singing Mothers. She taught a Beverly Melva Bennett Carlson beloved wife, daughter,, mother, grandmother, grand-mother, passed away April 22, 1980, in her Salt Lake City residence after a long term illness resulting from polio. Born March 25, 1921 in Salt Lake City to George A. and Mae Christensen Bennett. Attended Salt Lake City schools, graduated from West High School and attended at-tended the University of Utah. She married Leland Hurst Carlson Feb. 14, 1940 in the Salt Lake City LDS Temple. Sunday School Genealogy Class. She was an artist and devoted genealogist and did much to gather records for her family. Survived by her husband in Cedar City, mother, Mae Worswick of Salt Lake City, sons and daughters, Gordon Lee Carlson of Boise, Idaho; Linda Jay Carlson of Salt Lake City, Mrs. Randy (Rosemarie) Randall of Cedar City, Brent Carlson of Albuquerque, New Mexico; Kathleen Carlson of Cedar City. She is also survived by six grandchildren and a brother Dr. Gordon Bennett of Hollywood, California. Funeral services will be held Friday 1 p.m. in the Cedar City sixth ward chapel, 61 North 900 West. The viewing will be Thursday, Thur-sday, from 7-9 p.m. in the Spilsbury and Graff Morutary and Friday one hour prior to the services. She will be interred in Salt Lake City on Saturday.
