Show Third Graders donate VVMC Funds new babies in the hospital Nursery. They were treated to punch and cookies by the hospital Dietary Department Depart-ment and previewed the film their money purchased. -; Third Grade students from classes taught by Mrs. Jean Moore and Mrs. Sue Jennings Jen-nings at Enoch Elementary school visited the Valley View Medical Center (WMC) recently to deliver a check for $77. This is the third year that children from Cedar City arid Enoch schools have donated funds to the hospital through the Valley View Health Care Foundation (WHCF). Each year they have held a used book sale, reselling books to earn money for equipment for the hospital with total donations for the three years amounting to $179.15. This year they have selected a special film entitled "Peppermint Sounded Good" which will be shown to little children who are about to enter the hospital for surgery. This film explains ex-plains hospital procedures to the children to help alleviate their fears about their hospital visit. Mr. Mark Elder, R.N., Supervisor of O.R. and Mrs. Jean Hook, R.N. Inservice Director of the VVMC expressed ex-pressed their thanks tot he children for their help in making this project a great success. The children were taken on a tour of the hospital Physical Therapy, ' Respiratory Therapy, and Laboratory Departments and also enjoyed seeing the |
