CHS MOHEY TAW A 'VJJ f U Vi: 1!' : . ! : MoheyTawa present Spring Review -The Mohey Tawa Marching Mar-ching Group is ending this year with their annual Spring Revival. It will be on Tuesday, the 29th of April at 8:00 p.m. at the Cedar High School gym. The Review will feature marches the group has performed throughout the year, the CHS Jazz Band and many other talents from Cedar High. Mohey Tawa started their year out by attending clincs at Logan and the University of Utah where they learned many new steps. They have also attended many competitions com-petitions and have actively represented Cedar City. They attended the Cyprus Invitation where they received two first place trophies. They later traveled to State Competition where they received a second place trophy with their chair routine and ranked high in their other marches. They recently attended a competition com-petition at Weber State College where schools from Utah, Idaho, and Wyoming competed. CHS's Mohey Tawa took the spirit trophy and a second place trophy for their eight minute routine. The Moneys are proud to have had three girls represent them in the Miss Drill Team competition at Logan. They were Laurel Thurston, Avece Higbee, and Karen Wiebe. They did very well, and they will be doing their routines at the Review. Karen went on to compete at the Miss National Drill Team competition com-petition in California. The Review will be the Mohey's final program and is expected to be a big success. They will be performing per-forming these routines with many more. The girls would like to thank their advisor Carol Bishop for the many hours of hard work and sacrifice she has given to the group, the Jazz Band for always playing for them and helping them at their competitions, Mr. Matheson for all his support and the Booster mothers who help with fund raising and sometimes travel with the girls to their competitions. They want to thank all those who supported them all during the year, and they invite everyone out next Tuesday to their closing program. |
