Show Negotiate on Kolob Water Questions ; Members of the Cedar City Water I , Board will negotiate with the Kolob j Water User's Association to clear up I interpretation of the city's two-fifths share in the Kolob Water, to increase the storage capacity of a catch basin site at the Bulloch dam and to gain cooperation in the city's interest in the Krystal Creek water. The city's Water Board met last Wed. Conflicts over the Kolob Water concern private owners who supposedly sup-posedly receive 600 ac. ft. of priority water before the city's stream flow rights. Board members pointed out that the city had not been a part of this agreement. The board reviewed a land trade agreement of an equal swap of 120 acres with the developers of Sunset subdivision which will provide a 1500 ft. buffer zone around city wells in the Quitchapa area. The buffer zone is required by state law. The board agreed to meet at least quarterly but otherwise will meet when it is necessary. |
