"Out-of-town participants can register at the start of the run, but for convenience sake, students and local residents should register at the Student Center," Reid' said. Runners of all ages are invited to enter the second annual Southern Utah State College "Ten K Road Run", a 10 kilometer citizen's run which will be held May 3 in conjunction with the college's Wild West Week activities. Participants will meet at Milt's Stage Stop, east of Cedar City on U-14, then run down Cedar Canyon through town to Thunderbird Stadium. Every runner who finishes the 6.1 mile route will be given a Thunderbird T-shirt and a certificate of completion at the end of the "everyone's a winner's" event. Runners will meet at Milt's around 7:45 a.m. The i run will start promptly at 8 a.m. according to Rita Twitchell and Cameron Reid, run chairpersons. "The T-Bird Ten K Road Run is a citizen's run, not a race. The objective of the annual event is for participants par-ticipants to have fun, with emphasis placed on fitness, not competition," Twitchell said. The annual event is a part of Jogger's Month activities, currently being directed at SUSC by Thomas R. Kingsford, associate professor of physical education.
